Our Vision
“We’re dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes in Virginia by spreading awareness about preventable maternal morbidity risks, connecting moms with the information and support they need. Every mother deserves to feel supported, educated, and empowered because healthy moms create healthier generations.”
About Us
Generation MomMe was founded by Sunday Miller, a mother, community health worker, and public health educator. Inspired by her own maternal journey, she began her work in 2020 offering postpartum doula services in her community to provide hands-on care, guidance, and emotional support to mothers. What started as one-on-one support has grown into a comprehensive, community-centered organization that educates families about maternal health, fosters meaningful connections, and provides accessible resources. Sunday’s passion for improving maternal health outcomes stems from recognizing the rising challenges of maternal morbidity and disparities in healthcare across Virginia. Today, Generation MomMe continues to expand its impact by bridging gaps between families, healthcare providers, and community networks. Looking ahead, the organization’s mission is to strengthen maternal health by fostering community, advancing advocacy, and creating healthier generations of mothers who are Supported, Educated, and Empowered.
